| Christmas at the Herb Farm Seminar (Nov 13, 10-4) |
This will be one of our most special Christmas seminars! A drama show, cooking demonstrations of your meal, holiday crafting and singing. The day starts with making a lavender, rose and mint take home sachet. You will have sweet rolls with coffee, tea or Stream Cliff's Santa's Secret Mulled Wine in our 1836 farmhouse. We are honored to have Patricia Leonard from Nashville, TN. present a one-woman's show, “Wearing High Heels in a Flip Flop World". It is about discovering yourself in life's transitions! Funny and serious at the same time. Elizabeth and Betty will do the food demonstrations with recipes provided and Betty will demonstrate a fresh boxwood wreath. Carol, the farm's cookie diva, will share a favorite cookie recipe. Your meal will include: Roasted Turkey with Rosemary-Mushroom Stuffing, Sauteed Dill Zucchini and Squash, Asparagus-Basil Cheese Torta,Winter Greens and Strawberry Salad with Creamy Strawberry Dressing, and Pumpkin & Gingersnap Cheesecake and beverage. For the show we will present Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Bears, and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. A Dolly's Christmas Tea Party will be held. Each child is asked to bring a favorite doll or bear for tea. One adult and one child count as a pair. Each child must have one adult. Suggested ages are 3-10 years of age. The party starts in our 1836 farm house with stories. The play is held in the Keeping Room and the tea party is held in the Tearoom. This is a good opportunity for photos with Santa.
